THE EVIL DEAD (1981) Movie Review

For the month of October, we’re looking at five horror and Halloween classics to determine if they are Required Viewing.

When five young people visit a lone cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway, they discover the Necronomicon Ex Mortes, roughly translated as the Book of the Dead. When its blood inked passages are recited by a tape recorder translation, they are soon attacked by demonic spirits before they each begin to succumb one-by-one to grotesque possession.
