The REAL Reason People Are Calling MARY POPPINS Racist

The New York Times recently came out with a baffling op-ed accusing Walt Disney‘s original 1964 classic MARY POPPINS of being racist (therefore damning the Oscar-nominated sequel MARY POPPINS RETURNS “with disturbing echoes”). Is it just asinine clickbait or is there a deeper purpose behind this story?
